Moosa Kasimonje
Just Children Foundation was founded in 1996 by Moosa Kasimonje, a Zimbabwean Christian who lived in Harare. Moosa gave up a successful business in order to dedicate his life to the increasing number of children he was seeing abandoned on the streets of Harare.
In 1998 he opened the first shelter in Harare and Just Children Foundation was born. Since then the work of Just Children has expanded enormously in response to the increasingly desperate situation of children in Zimbabwe. Today over 63 staff care for children in 3 centres around Zimbabwe and in addition a large number of children are supported in their communities under a co-fostering programme.
Moosa Kasimonje died peacefully at the end of 2007. We thank God for Moosa, for his leadership, and for his sacrificial service of the poorest and most marginalised people in Zimbabwe – its children.

Philani Nyatsanza
